  • Maldow, Wang Eliminated at NCAAs
    (May 29) - "Johns Hopkins senior David Maldow (Jericho, NY/Jericho) and junior Andrew Wang (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) concluded their seasons on Friday at the 2010 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship. Maldow competed in the singles championship for the fourth consecutive season and paired with Wang for the doubles competition for the second year in a row."

    Maldow Named Atlantic South Player of the Year
    (May 18) - "Johns Hopkins men's tennis senior David Maldow (Jericho, NY / Jericho) has come full circle in his career as the 2007 Atlantic South Rookie of the Year has been named the 2010 Atlantic South Senior Player of the Year. The most decorated player in program history, Maldow led Johns Hopkins to the NCAA Sweet 16 this season with a school-record 21 wins."

    N.C. Wesleyan Edges Hopkins
    (May 16) - "The 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team suffered a heartbreaking 5-3 loss to 11th-ranked NC Wesleyan on a hot Sunday afternoon in the NCAA Sweet 16. The Blue Jays finish the team portion of their season with a school-record 21 wins, finishing at 21-6. The Bishops (18-1) move on to the NCAA Quarterfinals with top-ranked Middlebury."

    16 Named to Academic Honor Roll
    (May 14) - Three-hundred thirty-one students, including 16 tennis players, have been named to the spring Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the AHR, a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior; participate in at least 50 percent of the team contests; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.     Johns Hopkins Makes It Five Titles in Six Years
    (May 2) - "The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team shut out visiting Swarthmore, 6-0, in the 2010 Centennial Conference title match to win its fourth straight title and fifth in the last six years. The Blue Jays also broke the school single season wins record with their 20th win of the season, improving to 20-5 on the year. The Garnet end their season at 10-10."

    All-Conference Team Announced
    Maldow Named Player of the Year

    (April 30) - Johns Hopkins senior David Maldow was named Player of the Year for the second consecutive season as the 2010 All-Centennial Men's Tennis team was announced today. He is the fifth player to receive multiple POY awards and is the fourth player to earn first-team All-Centennial honors four times. Dickinson's Ross Anstaett and Washington's Adam Cranford are the seventh and eighth players to garner first-team All-CC honors three times.

    (April 27) - Swarthmore junior Mark Wee has been named the Conference's Player of the Week. Wee finished the week undefeated in both singles and doubles play to help the Swarthmore College men's tennis secure a spot in the Centennial Conference tournament.
