Courtney Cromwell, Johns Hopkins
In six matches this past week, Cromwell recorded 230 assists, 61 digs, 12 aces, 20 kills, and six block assists. She had 58 assists and 11 digs in a 3-2 victory over Haverford, and 43 assists and 10 digs in a 3-1 win over Western Maryland. Cromwell needs only 12 assists to reach 1,000 for the season, and 77 assists to reach 2,000 for her career.

Mary Boland, Franklin & Marshall (Sr, S, Wayne, PA / Villa Maria Academy) - Boland tallied 56 assists in one match against Roberts Wesleyan, including 23 in one game to set a new school record.
Megan Wargo, Gettysburg (Jr, OH, New Freedom, PA / Susquehannock) - Wargo collected a combined 59 kills in 162 total attempts to lead Gettysburg to a third-place finish in the Elizabethtown Halloween Classic. She posted a career-high 23 kills and tied a season-best 29 digs, both against Allegheny. Wargo collected 15 kills and 15 digs against Roberts Wesleyan, then tallied 15 kills, 13 digs and four aces against Moravian.
Jen Constantino, Haverford (Fr, OH, Folsom PA / Ridley High) - Constantino averaged 14 kills per game for the Fords' 4-1 week, including a 22-kill, 23-dig effort in the close 3-2 loss to Johns Hopkins.
Laura Funsten, Muhlenberg (Jr, S, King of Prussia, PA / Upper Merion) - Funsten recorded a triple-double with 46 assists, 15 digs and a career-high 11 kills (with no errors) in the Mules' CC finale against Ursinus. She then recorded her 2,000th assist and 800th dig to go along with six service aces in a three-game sweep of Wilkes.
Kate Wall, Western Maryland (So, OH, Manchester, MD / North Carroll) - Wall led Western Maryland to a 2-2 finish in the Elizabethtown Halloween Classic with a team-high 63 kills (15 games). She was outstanding in a five-game win over Susquehanna with 24 kills and 15 digs. Wall also had a 19-dig performance in a four-game loss to Moravian.
Dickinson - Dickinson split this week, taking a 3-0 decision from Bryn Mawr and falling 3-0 to Lebanon Valley. Dickinson finishes the regular season 17-11, its best record since 1990. Jill Damiani (Bellerose, NY / Mary Louis Academy) became the all-time career leader in blocks this season with 207 and is third on the all-time list for service aces with 131. In addition, she has recorded 525 kills, placing her fourth all-time on that list, and is the school record holder for blocks in a single-match with 13. Marissa Young (Potomac, MD / Connelly School) became the school's all-time leader in service aces with 156 and shattered the record for digs with 1108, eclipsing the previous record of 852. Offensively, Young accumulated 498 kills, placing her fifth all-time in that category. This week she became the single-season leader in digs as well with 377.
Franklin & Marshall - Franklin & Marshall downed Gettysburg, 3-1, to clinch the Centennial Conference regular-season title and host the conference championships against Haverford, Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins on Saturday. With the win over Gettysburg, the senior duo of Mary Boland (Wayne, PA / Villa Maria Academy) and Cynthia Knox (Sharon Hill, PA / Academy Park) became the all-time leaders in victories as they earned 113 wins in four years. Later in the week, F&M finished 3-1 in the Elizabethtown Halloween Classic by downing Susquehanna, Allegheny and Salisbury State, but fell to Division II Roberts Wesleyan. Versus Wesleyan, Boland tallied 56 set assists, including 23 in one game to set a new school record for most assists in a game. The Diplomats will open against fourth seed Haverford at 11:00 a.m.
Gettysburg - Gettysburg tallied a 2-2 record at the Elizabethtown Halloween Classic Tournament. Lisa Kamin (Glen Mills, PA / Penncrest) gathered 22 kills against Elizabethtown in the opening match on Friday and then posted a combined 29 kills, seven digs and three solo blocks despite losing both matches on Saturday. Kamin is currently fourth in the conference in kills per game with 3.95. The senior was named to the All-Tournament Team at E-town along with Megan Wargo (New Freedom, PA / Susquehannock). Gettysburg will take on Johns Hopkins on Saturday in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference Championship Tournament.
Haverford - First-year hitters Jen Constantino (Folsom, PA / Ridley High) and Jelyn Meyer (Woodstock, GA / Suquoyah High) recorded 15 and 14 kills, respectively, versus Lebanon Valley as Haverford improved to a school-record 30-5 overall with a non-conference sweep. Sophomore Steph Frank (Colgate, WI / Germantown High) added 37 assists against LVC (16-11). The Fords will next meet host Franklin & Marshall in the Centennial Conference semifinals on Saturday, November 4.
Johns Hopkins - Hopkins posted a 1-2 finish at the UAA Tournament, dropping games to Carnegie Mellon and NYU before defeating Chicago. The Blue Jays have won at least 22 matches in four of the last five seasons, and have seven straight winning seasons overall. Head coach Chris Weidenborner needs one win to reach 50 wins in his second season at the helm of JHU. The team broke a school record with eight consecutive conference victories during the season. Second-seed Hopkins will take on Gettysburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at F&M.
Muhlenberg - Muhlenberg closed out its season on a three-game winning streak to finish with a 17-11 record. Sophomore Meaghan Billie (Northampton, PA / Central Catholic) ended the season with 344 kills, the second-most in school history, and junior Laura Funsten (King of Prussia, PA / Upper Merion) set a school record by averaging 8.48 assists per game for the season. Several players reached career milestones in the Mules' season-ending 3-0 win against Wilkes: Funsten recorded her 2,000th assist and 800th dig, sophomore Lisa Giammalvo (Massapequa, NY / Massapequa) notched her 600th dig, and senior Jennifer Kahn (Haworth, NJ / Northern Valley Regional), playing in her final match, had her 100th block.
Swarthmore - In the only match of the week the Garnet fell to Haverford, 3-0. Junior OH Christine Hancock (Lone Pine, CA / Lone Pine) had 11 kills. Senior S Bonnie French (Cos Cob, CT / Greenwich Academy) recorded 16 set assists.
Ursinus - Ursinus wrapped up the season with a loss to Muhlenberg. The Bears finish the season at 13-17 overall and 3-7 in the conference. Senior Nikki DiMascio (Wilmington, DE / Padua Academy) is 10th in the conference in kills per game.
Washington - Washington finished the season at 1-31 and 1-9 in the conference with its only win coming against Bryn Mawr.
Western Maryland - The Green Terror wrapped up the 2000 regular season with a 2-2 finish in the Halloween Classic at Elizabethtown. WMC lost both contests on Friday (Moravian, Salisbury), but rebounded to win a pair of matches Saturday (Susquehanna, Elizabethtown). WMC ends a streaky season, which included a five-game win streak as well as five consecutive losses at one point. There was also a separate four-game win streak during the campaign. Jessica Rouse (Williamsport, MD / Williamsport) added to her school record for career assists with 999 this season, giving her 3,064 for her career and a senior season remains. The previous career mark was 2,037 by Carrie Shadrick (1994-97).
