Sunday, May 23
Game #10 - Rowan 4, Johns Hopkins 2 - FINAL
Matt Enuco's two-run triple in the top of
the ninth inning lifted Rowan to a 4-2 win over Johns Hopkins University in
the championship game of the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional
Tournament. Rowan advances to the NCAA Division III World Series in Fox
Cities, Wisconsin.
Johns Hopkins jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a Brian Morley homerun in the
third and a Tim Casale double in the fifth.
Rowan answered with a single run in the sixth on Bryan Ciconte double and
tied it on a Jesse Pappler sacrifice fly in the seventh.
With two out in the ninth, Mike Rucci singled to left, Pappler walked and
Tournament MVP Enuco followed with the game-winning triple.
Mike Sclafani picked up the win with two innings of hitless relief, while
Matt Righter took the loss in relief of Jason Thayer, who allowed just three
hits in eight innings.

Game #7: Rowan 6, Johns Hopkins 0 - FINAL
Josh Schwartz fired a complete-game shutout and struck out six to lead to
Rowan to a 6-0 win over Johns Hopkins.
Rowan advances to Sunday's championship game while Johns Hopkins will take
on the winner of the Arcadia-DeSales game at 7 p.m. tonight.
The Profs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning when
Bryan Ciconte singled and Irv McFarland homered to left.
They added four more in the eighth on an RBI singles by McFarland and Matt
Enuco, a sacrifice fly by Brent Dempsey and an error. McFarland finished
with two hits, two runs scored and three RBI while Enuco finished with a
pair of hits.
Johns Hopkins had their best chance in the seventh when singles by Brian
Morley and Mike Spiciarich and a pair of fielder's choices put runners on
second and third with two outs. But Schwartz struck out Doug Hitchner to
end the threat.
Rob Morrison and Morley each had two hits each for the Blue Jays while Ryan
McConnell took the loss, his first of the season.

Game #8: Arcadia 10, DeSales 9 - FINAL
Arcadia pounded out 16 hits and held off a DeSales rally in the ninth inning
to eliminate the Bulldogs, 10-9.
The Knights broke a scoreless tie with a five-run fifth inning. Tom DeCicco
led off the inning with a bunt single and Anthony Ragona followed with a
sacrifice bunt and reached on a throwing error. After John Maxon dropped a
perfect bunt single, Justin Loomis (pictured) delivered an RBI single and John Bellis
cleared the bases with a triple down the right field line. Eric Sagnor then
scored Bellis with an RBI single.
DeSales answered with three runs in the top of the sixth inning on three
hits and three Arcadia errors. The Bulldogs took a 6-5 lead in the seventh
on an RBI groundout by Dan Fratantoro and RBI singles by Nolan Neiman and
Ian Hauze.
Arcadia took a 10-6 lead with five more runs in the bottom of the inning on
an RBI single by Anthony Matranga, a bases-loaded walk to Maxon and a
three-run double by Loomis.
DeSales scored three runs on three hits in the top of the ninth inning but
fell just short.
Loomis went 4-for-4 with four RBI while Bellis had two hits, scored three
runs and knocked in three. Ryan Windt picked up the win.
Neiman and Hauze paced the Bulldogs with two hits and three RBI each while
Derek Miller had two hits and scored three runs.

Game #9: Johns Hopkins 7, Arcadia 3 - FINAL
Mike Spiciarich (pictured) went 4-for-4 while Russ Berger won his 13th straight mound decision as
Johns Hopkins eliminated Arcadia, 7-3. Rob Morrison gave the Jays an early 2-0 lead with a
two-run homer to center field in the bottom of the third. Spiciarich homered in the fourth for
a 3-0 lead before Arcadia dented the board with two in the fifth. RBI hits from Mike Durgala
and Craig Cetta in the fifth extended the Jays' lead to 5-2 and they never looked back. Berger
walked three and surrendered seven hits to improve to 5-0. Sven Stafford threw two perfect
innings for his eighth save of the season.

Friday, May 21
Game #4: Arcadia 8, Juniata 7 - FINAL
Arcadia scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to eliminate No. 6 seed Juniata, 8-7.
Sophomore Tom DeCicco (pictured) drove in the tying and winning runs with a two-run single off Eagle
reliever Derek Tyson. Juniata had tallied twice in the top of the ninth to take a 7-4 lead. The Knights
improve to 26-15, while the Eagles' season ends at 24-17.

Friday, May 21
Game #5: Johns Hopkins 7, St. Joseph's 2 - FINAL Matt Righter allowed just four hits and struck out nine to lead Johns
Hopkins to a 7-2 win over St. Joseph's. The Blue Jays pounded out 13 hits, led by Rob Morrison and Craig Cetta (pictured) who had two hits and two RBI each.
Johns Hopkins jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second on a two-run home run by Cetta. It added four more in the third on a two-run double by Mike
Durgala, a run-scoring double by Mike Spiciarich and a sacrifice fly from Carl Ippolito. The Golden Eagles got on the board in the 8th inning when Kevin Ginter
(2-for-3) poked a two-run single. Tony Gallia, who entered the game with a perfect 9-0 mound mark, took the loss. St. Joseph's ends its season at 26-18.

Game #6: Rowan 7, DeSales 2 - FINAL
Tom McCullen allowed two runs on six hits and struck out 10 to lead Rowan to
a 7-2 win over DeSales.
The Profs got two hits and three RBI including a home run from Irv
McFarland while Nick Urbanovich went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Rowan
scored five runs in the 5th inning on a solo home run by Bryan Ciconte and
two-run shots by McFarland and Matt Enuco.
Kyle Peters led DeSales with two hits including a solo home run, while
Anthony Palmieri took the loss.
Rowan will face Johns Hopkins at 11:00 am on Saturday while DeSales will
take on Arcadia at 3:00.

Thursday, May 20
Game #1: Johns Hopkins
6, Juniata 0 - FINAL Rob Morrison and Mike Spiciarich each hit two-run homers in support of the complete-game effort of
RHP Jeremy Brown (pictured) as Johns Hopkins defeated Juniata, 6-0. Brown allowed just five hits and struck out 10
Eagles to improve to 9-0 on the season. Cody Zong took the loss for Juniata and fell to 3-4. The
Blue Jays scored one run in the fifth and sixth innings and put two-spots on the board in the seventh
and eighth frames. Craig Cetta went 3-for-3 for Hopkins (38-2), while Morrison had two hits and two
RBI. Zach Sternberg had a pair of singles for Juniata (24-16).

Thursday, May 20
Game #2: Rowan 3, Arcadia 2 - FINAL Rowan scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to
come from behind and defeat Arcadia, 3-2. Trailing 2-1 with one out in the final inning, Rowan's Roger Turley walked and
Brian Ciconte was hit by a pitch. Nick Urbanovich plated Turley with the game-tying run on a double to left center and Irvin McFarland followed with a deep sacrifice fly to left to score Ciconte for the win.
Urbanovich finished with two hits and two RBI while Jim Gendaszek (1-1) picked up the win in relief of starter Brian McLaughlin.
Arcadia's Ryan Windt (6-3) took the loss for the Knights who got two hits from M.C. Bertolino.

Game #3: DeSales 5, St. Joseph's (NY) 4 - FINAL Matt Lezinsky's double, in the bottom of the 9th inning, scored Kyle Hoffman
with the game-winning run as DeSales topped St. Joseph's, 5-4. DeSales took a 3-0 lead in the first on a two-run single by Kyle Peters and
a throwing error. They extended their advantage to 4-0 on Mike Cohan RBI double. The Golden Eagles answered when pinch-hitter Tom Smith belted a three-run
homer in the sixth. St. Joseph's tied it in the 8th on an RBI single by Rob Maccone. Matt Reppert (6-1) picked up the complete game win for DeSales after scattering eight hits and
fanning eight. Michael Luzim (5-5) took the loss on the mound for the Golden Eagles.
