(April 2) - Two-hundred thirty-four students from seven different winter sports, including 18 men's basketball players, have been named to the Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student must meet the following criteria: (a) participates in at least 50 percent of contests, matches or meets, or in the Conference varsity championship in swimming, indoor track & field or wrestling; (b) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (c) cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. Three students - Gettysburg's Dan Capkin, Haverford's Greg Rosnick and Ursinus' John Noonan - also received All-Conference recognition during the season.

    Diplomats Finish Fourth in Nation
(March 22) - "The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team will be coming home with the fourth-place trophy to end their season at the NCAA Championships, falling to Guilford 79-67 in the consolation game on Saturday at the Salem Civic Center. The Quakers (25-6) had four players in double figures, led by Clay Henson's game-high 20 points and Tyler Sanborn's double double with 14 points and 17 rebounds to wrap up their best campaign since 1972-73 with a national third place finish. Henson set the program's career three-point record today with six from beyond the arc this afternoon. "I'm really proud of our team," said head coach Glenn Robinson said afterwards. "It was so difficult to have all of the emotion involved, coming here to play in a national championship, and play the kind of game we played against Stockton last night."

Ospreys Slip Past Diplomats in NCAA Semifinals
(March 21) - "In a contest that was tight throughout and featured 11 ties, the outcome was almost certain to come down to the final minutes of action. Michael Farrow gave Richard Stockton College the lead for good with 0:49 to play as the Ospreys move on to their first NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Game with a 62-58 win over Franklin & Marshall College. The Ospreys (30-2) advance to face defending national champion, Washington University in St. Louis, on Saturday afternoon."

    Final Four Release
(March 16) - For the second straight season, the Centennial Conference has a team in the final four, as Franklin & Marshall advanced to the national semifinals with a 70-60 victory over DeSales.Conference's Player of the Week. Get ready for Salem with this week's Conference basketball release.

Bullets Down Diplomats for Men's Crown
(March 1) - "Senior guard Dan Capkin (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Merion) picked an opportune time to have one of the best games of his career. Capkin drained 8-of-12 three-pointers, setting a Centennial Conference Tournament record as well as a personal career-high for threes made in a game, and scored a game-high 26 points to lead three-seeded Gettysburg to a 73-65 victory over top-seeded, tournament host, and No. 23 Franklin & Marshall Sunday afternoon at the Mayser Center. With the win, the Bullets (18-8) post their third Centennial Conference title and their first since 2002." Championship website
