Centennial Conference

2008 Women's Basketball Championship

The Centennial Conference Women's Basketball final four will be hosted by the regular-season top seed on March 1-2. A first-round game between the Nos. 4 and 5 seeds will be played on February 27.

If one school is the top seed for both the men's and women's tournaments ... in even-numbered years (2008), the women will play both semifinals and championship game first (example: 12 and 2 p.m.) and the women will play second (example: 4:30 and 6:30).

  • Centennial Championship Seeding Procedure
    1. Head-to-Head Centennial Conference competition, determined by winning percentage;
    2. NCAA strength of schedule vs. Conference opponents;
    3. Coin Flip by the Executive Director;
    4. once the above criteria have been used to reduce the number of tied teams, they will be used again on the teams that remain tied.

    Incomplete Tournament. If the championship tournament cannot be completed and each team has completed at least one tournament contest, the highest remaining seed will be the Conference's champion and automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament. Otherwise, the top seed as determined by the regular season will receive the automatic qualifier.

    Ticket Prices. An admission charge will be assessed at each round of the Conference tournament, including tie-breaker games.

  • Adults (18 and over): $5
  • Students (13-18 without ID): $3
  • Youth (12 and under): free There are no complimentary tickets for the Conference basketball championship, though an insitution may purchase tickets for special guests and friends of the institution. Contact the Conference Office if your institution wishes to do so. Up to 12 cheerleaders and 25 band members will be admitted free, provided these groups announce their intention to attend the contest with the Conference Executive Director and the host Director of Athletics.
