Paulsen Earns All-America Honors, Leads Hopkins to 13th at NCAA X-Country Meet
(November 23) - The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team finished
13th among the top 32 teams in the country in just its second all-time
appearance at the NCAA Championship. The Blue Jays were led by junior
Laura Paulsen who finished in 31st place at 21:37.36 to earn NCAA
All-America honors. The Blue Jays lose just two seniors and will
look to make another run to the NCAA Championship in 2009.
Dickinson
finished in 30th place.
Fall Academic Honor Roll Announced
(November 18) - Three-hundred students have been named to the
2008 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the classroom and on the field of play. Fifty-seven of the honorees
also received All-Conference recognition this fall, while three students - Ursinus' Jennie Moore, Johns Hopkins' Matt Carlson and Dickinson's Sarah Casey - earned Player of the Year honors.
Van Allen Named Centennial Coach of the Year
(November 12) - Johns Hopkins head coach Bobby Van Allen has been recognized by his colleagues as the 2008 Centennial Conference women's cross country Coach of the Year. The Blue Jays broke Dickinson's eight-year stranglehold on the Conference championship this fall.

(November 4) - Johns Hopkins' Laura Paulsen has been selected as the
Conference's Runner of the Week. Paulsen became the first Blue Jay runner to
win individual honors at the Centennial championship meet, leading Hopkins
to its first-ever Conference title.
Paulsen, Blue Jays Win First-Ever Centennial Titles
(November 1) - It was a day of firsts for Johns Hopkins at the Centennial Conference championship meet at Gettysburg. The Blue Jays captured their first-ever Centennial championship, ending Dickinson's eight-year reign, with 49 points. Hopkins junior Laura Paulsen became the school's first individual gold medalist, covering the 6K distance in 22:00.99. Paulsen and Dickinson's Darcy
McDonald became the 15th and 16th runners in Conference history to earn first-team All-Centennial honors (finish in the top seven) three times. McDonald finished fifth for the runner-up Red Devils.
