Gettysburg Season Preview
(September 2) - "Despite the loss of five key seniors from the 2009 season, the Gettysburg College field hockey team enters the 2010 campaign with high hopes. The Bullets return 16 letterwinners and six starters, including a highly-experienced defensive unit, from last year's squad that finished 14-5, placed second in the Centennial Conference (CC) at 8-2, and appeared in the CC playoffs for the seventh straight season."

Johns Hopkins Season Preview
(September 1) - "Despite graduating five starters from a team that won 13 games and advanced to the title game of the Centennial Conference Tournament, head coach Megan Fraser is optimistic about the 2010 season. The Blue Jays return three of their top four scorers from a year ago, including NFHCA Third Team All-American midfielder Ariana Branchini."

Muhlenberg Season Preview
(September 1) - "Field hockey has kept Amanda DiMarco and Chessie Martinez together for the last eight years, whether at Muhlenberg, on a club team that traveled to Florida and California, or on a Mountain Lakes (N.J.) High School team that went 23-2 and reached the state semifinals their junior year. The following year, according to DiMarco, "we weren't as successful, but it was more fun because we had a great group of seniors."

Swarthmore Season Preview
(August 31) - "With the return of its top three scorers from last season, a talented crop of underclassmen and a veteran core of four seniors, the Swarthmore College Field Hockey will look to build on last season's improvement and make some noise in the Centennial Conference."

Three for the Show
(August 31) - The Centennial Conference has three teams in the 2010 NFHCA Division III preseason poll - Ursinus (3), Johns Hopkins (15) and Gettysburg (20). Only the NESCAC (5 teams) has more representation in the preseason top 20 than the Centennial.

Ursinus Field Hockey Picked to Repeat
(August 24) - Defending champion Ursinus is the coaches favorite to capture the 2010 field hockey title in the Centennial Conference's annual preseason poll preseason poll of head coaches. UC was a unanimous choice with 100 points and 10 first-place votes (voters not permitted to vote for their own team). Johns Hopkins earned the second spot on the poll with 87 points, while Gettysburg followed closely behind with 83 points for third place. The fourth spot on the poll goes to Haverford with 66 points. Rounding out the top six are Franklin & Marshall (63) and Muhlenberg (51).

Washington Season Preview
(August 23) - "Two years removed from a Centennial Conference semifinal appearance, the Washington College field hockey team begins preseason practice with just seven total juniors and seniors and a full dozen freshmen on a 27-woman roster as the Shorewomen begin a new era of sorts. Head coach Rachel Boyle will look to guide her youthful squad away from last year's 6-11 mark, which included a 3-7 record in one-goal games, and back toward the 12-6 mark of 2008, which included a 4-1 record in one-goal games."
