Did You Know
1) The only time that double assists can be given is on a DIRECT CORNER goal. The push and the stick stop are BOTH given assists if the striker scores on a direct shot. If there is any kind of an option (tip, deflection, etc. then THERE CANNOT BE TWO ASSISTS.

2) ALSO, if a shot that is taken is saved by the goalie but an offensive player collects the rebound and scores, THE PLAYER WHO SHOT THE BALL DOES NOT GET AN ASSIST.

3) A goalie can ONLY be credited with a SAVE if there is a SHOT TAKEN. For example, a goalie clear on a failed breakaway where no shot is taken IS NOT A SAVE. Likewise, a free hit taken outside the circle that is NOT touched but is cleared by the goalie is NOT a save since she could have let the ball in the net and it would be a 16-yard hit coming out.
