Undefeated Messiah Upends Ursinus
(November 22) - "Top-ranked Messiah College scored three goals in a span of 4:40 in the second half, and then got the game-winner on a penalty stroke with just under ten minutes left as the Falcons (22-0) advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship with a 4-3 win over Ursinus (20-3) on Saturday afternoon in the Division III Semifinals at Mount Holyoke College."

Ursinus' Yoder Named South Region Player of the Year
(November 18) - Seven Centennial players were named to the All-South Region first team as the NFHCA announced their All-Region teams. Ursinus' Megan Yoder was named the Region's Player of the Year. The 2009 Centennial Player of the Year scored 26 goals and added 19 assists in leading the Bears to the final four. Also named to the first team was Haverford's Roxanne Jaffe, Johns Hopkins' Ari Branchini, and Ursinus' Lindsay Doutt, Jen Hooven, Alyssa Thren and Michelle Wimmer.

Ursinus Places Four on All-CC Team; Yoder Named Player of the Year
(November 11) - Ursinus, who won its sixth straight Conference championship last weekend, placed
four players on the first team as the
2009 All-Centennial field hockey team was released today.
Ursinus junior midfielder Megan Yoder was named Player of the Year and was joined on the first unit
by teammates Lindsey Doutt, Michelle Wimmer and Alyssa Thren. Ursinus head coach Laura Moliken
was selected by her peers as the Coach of the Year.

Weekly Release #9
(November 11) - Ursinus' Michelle Wimmer and Nicole Hanby have been
named the Conference's Players of
the Week. Wimmer had a hat trick to lead the Bears to a 6-0 victory
over Johns Hopkins in the Conference final. She also had an assist in
UC's 10-2 win over Haverford in the semifinals. Hanby led an Ursinus
defense that allowed just 11 shots and two goals as the Bears won a
sixth consecutive Centennial championship.

Ursinus Wins 6th Straight Title
(November 8) - "For the sixth straight year, Ursinus captured the
Centennial Conference field hockey championship as
the Bears (18-2) defeated Johns Hopkins (13-6) 6-0 at Eleanor Frost Snell Alumnae Field
Sunday afternoon. With the win, Ursinus advances to the NCAA Division
III tournament and will find out where and when the Bears are playing
late Sunday night. Junior midfielder Michelle Wimmer (Palm, Pa. / Upper
Perkiomen) had three goals in the game, while senior forward Jessica
Zatwarnicki (Reading, Pa. / Exeter) had a goal and three assists for
Ursinus."

44 Students Named to Fall Academic Honor Roll
(November 3) - Forty-four field hockey players are among a group of 331
students who have been named to the 2009 Centennial Conference Fall
Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Honor Roll, a student must
meet the following criteria: (a) participates in at least 50 percent of
contests, matches or meets, or in the Conference varsity championship in
cross country; (b) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (c)
