Amy Bruschi, Johns Hopkins Bruschi scored three goals and five assists as JHU went 4-0 on the week and won the 2000 Centennial Conference crown. She scored the game-winner in overtime against Gettysburg to help secure a perfect 9-0 conference season and totaled three assists and a goal against Franklin & Marshall. In the CC Championships semifinal, she scored the game-winner and posted an assist in a 2-0 win over Muhlenberg. Bruschi assisted on the game-winning tally in the CC final.

Robin Herlands, Haverford (Sr, F, Annandale, VA / Annandale High) - The senior forward scored with 5:48 left in a disappointing season-ending loss to Swarthmore to extend her career total points to 68. In doing so she surpassed Patricia Thomas '86 (64 points) as Haverford's all-time leading scorer.
Kerry Lambert, Muhlenberg (Sr, F, Milmont Park, PA / Ridley) - Lambert recorded her first career hat trick and added an assist in an 8-0 shutout of Bryn Mawr that clinched a CC playoff berth for the Mules.
Kim Cariello, Swarthmore (Jr, F, Hudson, OH / Western Reserve) - Cariello scored the game-winning goal in the Garnet's 2-0 victory over Washington in the Centennial semifinals. She also got Swarthmore off to a quick start scoring just 2:44 into the game in the 5-2 victory over Haverford.
Nicki Maccari, Washington (Sr, F, North East, MD / Rising Sun) - Maccari scored the game-winning goal in the Shorewomen's 2-1 overtime win over Westen Maryland. Maccari finishes her career at Washington with 40 goals and 10 assists.
Shauna Oplinger, Western Maryland (Sr, A, Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts) - Oplinger gave WMC its only goal in a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Washington College.
Dickinson - The Red Devils finished the season on a high note winning their final two games of the year. Freshman Caroline Gouin (Frederick, MD / Frederic) tallied her seventh goal of the season and third game-winner against Hood while Marisa Giorgio (Rehersburg, PA / Tulpehocken) posted her fifth shutout of the year.
Franklin & Marshall - F&M finished the year 8-11, 5-4 in the Centennial Conference following a 5-0 loss to eventual conference champion Johns Hopkins. The 2000 squad's eight wins marks the most wins by a Franklin & Marshall field hockey team since 1992 when the team went 13-6. For the year, Lisa Montana (Bridgeton, NJ / Cumberland Regional) led the team in scoring with 10 goals and two assists.
Gettysburg - In Gettysburg's only game of the week, Aimee Bois (Medfield, MA / Medfield) led the Bullets with three shots in a 1-0 overtime loss to Johns Hopkins on Tuesday. Maureen Giese (Maplewood, NJ / Oak Knoll School) collected four saves on the day, including two in overtime. She broke up a dangerous Johns Hopkins breakaway to keep the game scoreless with nine minutes remaining in overtime. Senior Jen White (Quakertown, PA / Pennridge) led the team in all categories with 68 shots, nine goals, four assists, 22 points and three game-winning goals for the season.

Johns Hopkins - Senior goalkeeper Katie Reytar (Laurel, MD / Hammond) recorded 20 saves and posted four shutouts on the week to lead the Blue Jays to a repeat performance as Conference Champions. Junior Beth Pollock (Cleveland Heights, OH / Cleveland Heights) tallied the game-winner against Swarthmore and senior Lauren Carney (Wilmington, DE / Tatnall School) recorded one goal and added a defensive save in the championships. The Blue Jays will open the NCAA Tournament against defending champion The College of New Jersey, Saturday at 11:00 AM at Springfield College. The Lions ended Hopkins season last year with a 3-0 win in the quarterfinals.
Muhlenberg - Muhlenberg blanked Bryn Mawr, 8-0, in the final game of the regular season to earn a berth in the Conference Championship Tournament where it dropped its opening game to Johns Hopkins, 2-0. The eight goals against the Mawrters were the most for the Mules since an 8-0 shutout of Delaware Valley in 1990. Seniors Kelly Gower (New Egypt, NJ / Allentown) and Kerry Lambert (Milmont Park, PA / Ridley) each scored three goals, marking the first time since 1978 that two Muhlenberg players recorded a hat trick in the same game. Gower finished her career with 87 points, good for third place on the Mules' all-time list.
Swarthmore - Sophomore goalkeeper Kate Nelson-Lee (Jamestown, RI / The Wheeler School) turned away a penalty stroke in the final minutes of play to preserve the shutout against Washington in the semifinal of the conference championship. Classmate Meg Woodworth (Lexington, MA / Middlesex) added an insurance goal against the Shorewomen that gave the Garnet a 2-0 advantage. Five different players scored goals in the 5-2 victory over Haverford. Kim Cariello (Hudson, OH / Western Reserve), Katie Tarr (Glen Mills, PA / Garnet Valley), Alison Gaffney (Lewes, DE / Cape Henlopen) and Krista Hollis (Wellesley, MA / Milton Academy) scored and Kristen English (Plymouth Meeting, PA / Plymouth Whitemarsh) converted her fourth penalty stroke of the season to lead the balanced Garnet attack.
Washington - The Shorewomen finished the season at 9-9 after dropping the conference semifinal game to Swarthmore, 2-0. Toby Wilmet (Dalton, PA / Lackawanna Trail) posted three saves in the effort.
Western Maryland - WMC finished the 2000 regular season with a school-record-tying 10 wins, matching the 1995 team's success. The Terror earned its first winning season (10-9 overall) since the 1996 team went 10-6. A total of 18 different players scored at least one goal during the season, showing team balance. The 1999 team, by comparision, saw only nine different goal scorers. The Terror scored a school-record 59 goals this season, breaking the former single-season mark of 36.
