Diplomat Golfers Finish 21st at NCAAs
(May 17) - "Franklin & Marshall's men's golf team shaved two shots off
of their Friday round to post a 316 in the final round of the NCAA
Division III Men's Golf Championships. The Diplomats put up a four-round
total of 1,242, to
finish in 21st place amongst the 36 teams that began
the Championship on Wednesday. Andrew Woods was the top F&M finisher,
placing 56th overall out of the 185 golfers who began the tournament."

Five Named to Spring Academic Honor Roll
(May 12) - Three-hundred twenty-five students, including five golfers, have been named to the
Centennial Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll for their performance
in the classroom and the field of play. To be nominated for the
Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student must meet the
following criteria: (a) participates in at least 50 percent of contests,
matches or meets, or in the Conference varsity championship in golf or
outdoor track & field; (b) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (c)
cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. Fifty-one students also received
All-Centennial recognition this spring, while five were named Players of the Year.

Franklin & Marshall Captures Crown; Dickinson's Joyce Takes Medalist Honors
(April 26) -
Franklin & Marshall captured its third Centennial Conference men's golf
championship on Sunday with a 12-stroke victory over defending
champion McDaniel at The Bridges GC. The Diplomats fashioned a
final-round score of 315 for a 54-hole score of 939. The Green Terror
carded a 314 on the final day for a 951, while Muhlenberg posted the
day's low score of 308 to take third at 953. Dickinson's Tucker Joyce
became just the third freshman in Conference
history to take medalist honors, shooting a 79 over the final 18
holes for a three-day total of 227, three shots better than F&M's Andrew
Woods. McDaniel's Paul Kovalcheck and Swarthmore's Alex Nichamin tied
for third at 234, while F&M's Danny Liebowitz was fifth at 235.
