Peffer Resigns as F&M Head Coach
(December 16) - "Queens University of Charlotte Director of Athletics, Jeannie King, is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Peffer as the University's men's and women's head golf coach. Peffer joins the Royals family from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., where he has served as the women's head golf coach for the last two and a half years. Under his leadership the Diplomats flourished, shaving off 8.3 strokes per round and winning one tournament as a first-year head coach. During his second year, the team decreased their scoring average by 14.5 strokes, captured two tournament wins, and raised their collective gpa to 3.45. This past semester, the Diplomats added five freshmen to the roster, claimed two tournament wins, and improved an additional 29 strokes per round."

Nathan Leads Gettysburg to McDaniel Invitational Title
(October 8) - "Sophomore Caroline Nathan (Bethesda, Md. / Walt Whitman) won her first event of the year on a tiebreaker and the Gettysburg College women's golf team closed the fall with a first-place finish at the McDaniel College Fall Invitational hosted by the Piney Branch Golf Club on Thursday, Oct. 8.
Gettysburg, which has won four events in each of the past two seasons, captured its first team title this season with a score of 365, four strokes better than host McDaniel on the par-72, 5,870-yard course and future site of the 2010 Centennial Conference Championship. "

Gettysburg Finishes 4th at Cortland With School-Record Low Score
(October 4) - "The Gettysburg College women's golf team set a new school standard for a 36-hole tournament by recording a 706 (354-352) at the SUNY Cortland Martin & Wallace Invitational on Oct. 3-4. The Bullets finished fourth overall among nine scoring teams led by junior Marybeth Scott's (Chester Springs, Pa. / The Hill School) tie for 19th. Gettysburg shattered its previous 36-hole team record of 721 set at the 2008 Centennial Conference Championship."

Fiala Takes Millersville Medal
(September 30) - "Franklin & Marshall first-year, Julia Fiala, shot an 88 on Wednesday to claim the individual medalist honors at the Millersville Invitational. Fiala held two strokes on her classmate, Meghan Maloney. The pair paced F&M to a 379, one stroke behind West Chester University, which took the team title in the field of three squads."
