  • Shirk Named Washington Men's Lax Coach
    (June 29) - "Washington College athletic director Dr. Bryan Matthews is pleased to announce the hiring of Jeff Shirk as the school's 11th head men's lacrosse coach. Shirk comes to Chestertown from Division I Virginia Military Institute (VMI), where he served as head coach for the past four years."

    Kurpis Gains Academic All-America First Team Nod
    (June 8) - "Recent graduate Timothy Kurpis of the Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team continued to put the finishing touches on an outstanding career both on and off the field by earning a spot on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America College Division Men's At-Large First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), it was announced Tuesday."

    Final Release
    (May 28) - The final release of the 2010 men's lacrosse season is now available. The release includes final statistics, results, rankings and honors.

    Heartbreak on the Eastern Shore:
    Haverford Falls in OT to Salisbury

    (May 19) - "The NCAA Division III men's lacrosse quarterfinal match-up between second-ranked Salisbury University and the visiting, 11th-ranked Haverford College Fords played on into overtime with the host Sea Gulls netting the game-winner 12 seconds in to steal a 12-11 victory and move on to the national semifinals."

    27 Named to Academic Honor Roll
    (May 14) - Three-hundred thirty-one students, including 27 lacrosse players, have been named to the spring Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the AHR, a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior; participate in at least 50 percent of the team contests; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.     All-Conference Team Announced
    McGrath Named Player of the Year

    (May 3) - Gettysburg senior midfielder Kyle McGrath was named the Conference's Player of the Year as the 2010 All-Centennial men's lacrosse team was announced today. McGrath is the fifth consecutive Bullet to receive POY honors. Dickinson LSM Brandon Palladino became just the fourth freshman to earn first-team All-Centennial recognition.

    Haverford Stuns Bullets for First Conference Championship
    (May 2) - "The Haverford College men's lacrosse team never trailed during its 11-8 win over second-ranked Gettysburg College in the Centennial Conference championship game Sunday afternoon on Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium as the Fords claimed their first tournament title."
