#1 Messiah Rallies Past Johns Hopkins in OT
(November 22) - "The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team jumped out to a 2-0 lead over top-ranked and defending national champion Messiah on Saturday night in the NCAA Sweet 16, but after scoring two second half goals to tie the match at 2-2, the Falcons scored in the 106th minute to win 3-2 in thrilling fashion. The Blue Jays see their season end at 16-4-3 while the Falcons improve to 21-1-0 and advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals."

Shootout Loss Ends Swarthmore Soccer Dream in Sweet 16
(November 21) - "Junior Gage Newman scored the game-tying goal against Transylvania (15-3-2) in the 85th minute of play to send the game into overtime at 1-1, but Swarthmore's (16-2-3) quest for an appearance in the NCAA Division III men's soccer Final Four was halted when the Garnet fell to the Pioneers 4-1 in penalty kicks."

Swat is Sweet! Garnet Sinks Statesmen in OT
(November 16) - "Swarthmore junior Philippe Celestin scored the game-winning goal - his first goal of the season - in the 107th minute of play to give the Garnet a 2-1 (2OT) victory over Hobart in an exhilarating second round NCAA Division III men's soccer game from Clothier Field Stadium on the campus of Swarthmore College on Sunday evening."

Blue Jays Headed to Sweet 16 After Shootout Win at Salisbury
(November 16) - "The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team battled host Salisbury to a scoreless draw through 110 minutes in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday and prevailed 5-3 in a shootout to advance to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive year. The Blue Jays are now 16-3-3 on the year while the Sea Gulls end their season at 15-3-2."

Blue Jays Place Three on All-CC Team; Muhlenberg's Antonini Named Player of the Year
(November 9) - Johns Hopkins, who won its eighth Conference championship
last weekend, placed three players on the first team as the 2009
All-Centennial men's soccer team was released today. Hopkins junior
F Scott Bukoski was selected to the first team for the third consecutive
year. He was joined by teammates Evan Kleinberg and Kevin Hueber.
Muhlenberg sophomore midfielder Cody Antonini was named the Player of
the Year while his coach, Sean Topping, was selected by his peers as the
Coach of the Year.

Weekly Release #10
(November 9) - Johns Hopkins' John Scheuch and Ravi Gill have been named
the Conference's Men's Soccer
Players of the Week. Scheuch had one career goal entering this
weekend's tournament, but scored a goal in each
game to help Johns Hopkins to its eighth overall Centennial
championship. Scheuch scored the game's only goal in the 34th minute of
the semifinals as JHU shut out 10th-ranked Swarthmore. In the
championship game, he scored in the 22nd minute to tie the game at 1-1.
Gill (pictured) stopped seven of the eight shots he faced in helping Johns Hopkins
to its third Conference title in four years. He made a pair
of saves in handing 10th-ranked Swarthmore just its second loss of the
season and made five saves while allowing just one goal as JHU defeated
Dickinson, 2-1, to claim its eighth overall title.

Johns Hopkins Captures Eighth Centennial Championship
(November 7) - "The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team
rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Dickinson and claim its eight Centennial
Conference Championship on Saturday night at host Muhlenberg. The Blue
Jays win their third straight game and improve to 15-3-2, while the
Devils slip to 14-4-2 with the loss. Hopkins was seeded third in the
tournament and becomes the first three seed to win the championship
since Muhlenberg in 2005. (Max) Venker's goal was his third goal in a
Centennial Conference title game in his career. All three goals have
been game-winners."

Johns Hopkins, Dickinson Advance to Men's Final With 1-0 Wins
(November 6) - Johns Hopkins and Dickinson advanced to Sunday's Centennial
Conference final with 1-0 wins over Swarthmore and Muhlenberg, respectively, in
Friday night's semifinals. John Scheuch scored the lone goal in the 34th minute
as the
third-seeded Blue Jays toppled the 10th ranked Garnet in the opener. Ravi
Gill turned away both Swarthmore shots on goal for his 10th shutout of the season.
Mike Montross scored the match's only goal in the 71st minute as
the Red Devils knocked out the top-seeded Mules. Cody Hickok made three saves as Dickinson advances
to its first Centennial final, opposite the seven-time champion Jays on Saturday
at 7 p.m. in Allentown.

29 Students Named to Fall Academic Honor Roll
(November 3) - Twenty-nine soccer players are among a group of 331
students who have been named to the 2009 Centennial Conference Fall
Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Honor Roll, a student must
meet the following criteria: (a) participates in at least 50 percent of
contests, matches or meets, or in the Conference varsity championship in
cross country; (b) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (c)
