Junior, Forward, 5-10, 165 Reading, PA / Exeter HS Vishio played a role in 43 percent of the Bullet offense in Gettysburg's 5-0 start. He scored six goals and added three assists in the five matches - factoring in on nine of the Bullets' 21 goals. Three of his tallies were game-winners (Mary Washington, Washington & Jefferson, Eastern).

Michael Murphy, Dickinson (Fr, GK, Philadelphia, PA / George Washington) - Murphy has registered 35 saves in the Red Devils' 3-1 start and recorded his first career shutout in the 1-0 win over #3 ranked Mary Washington.
Scott Runyan, Franklin & Marshall (Fr, F, Hopatcong, NJ / Gill Saint Bernards) - Runyan scored a pair of goals in the Diplomats' win over Washington & Jefferson.
Teddy Zingman, Johns Hopkins (Jr, M, 5-9, 155, Columbia, MD / Atholton) - Zingman scored five goals in five games, while also handing out a pair of assists. He earned offensive MVP honors in the JHU/Alumni Classic after tallying twice in the title game vs. Salve Regina.
Hugh Watters, Muhlenberg (Sr, M, 6-0, 170, Kingston, PA / Wyoming Valley West) - Watters scored five goals in two games, including a hat trick in a 6-0 win over New Paltz. He also had a pair vs. Cal Lutheran, bringing the Mules back from a 1-0 deficit.
Mike Traud, Ursinus (Sr, M, 6-3, 180, Allentown, PA / William Allen) - Traud was named to the All-Tournament team at Wesley after scoring goals against W&J and the hosts.
Justin Daniel, Washington (So, F, 6-0, 155, Annapolis, MD / Annapolis) - Daniel assisted on two of the Shoremen's three goals in a 3-2 win over Rutgers-Camden. He also scored a goal vs. York.

Men's Soccer Report - September 14, 1998
FRANKLIN & MARSHALL finished second at the Drew Tournament, defeating NYU, 2-1, but falling to RIT. The Diplomats placed third at their own invitational, rebounding from a loss to Cabrini to down Washington & Jefferson, 5-1. Freshman Scott Runyan (Hopatcong, NJ/Gill Saint Bernards) has three goals in six games to lead the team in scoring. F&M entertains Wesley (Thurs.) and Ursinus (Sat.) this week.
GETTYSBURG is off to its first 5-0 start in school history, following a 4-0 shutout of Eastern. The Bullets are unbeaten in their last 18 regular-season contests (16-0-2) and are ranked #1 in the region. Senior GK Jon Katerba (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) set a school record for career shutouts with a three-save effort vs. Susquehanna. His four-save day vs. Eastern gives him 19.3 for his career. Gettysburg travels to Messiah on Wednesday and entertains Washington in the CC opener on Saturday.
HAVERFORD finished third at the Rowan Sunkist Tournament and second at its Jimmy Mills Tournament. Junior F Rich Billings (E. Greenwich, RI/E. Greenwich) had seven goals in the five contests, giving him 42 for his career. Billings is just eight goals shy of the school career mark of 49 set by Frank Adamson '98. Junior M Jesse Stollak (Port Angeles, WA/Port Angeles) and freshman M Andy Au (Maple Glen, PA/La Salle College) were named to the All-Jimmy Mills team, along with Billings. Senior Dan Constantinescu (Brooklyn, NY/Poly Prep Country Day), playing goal for the first time in his soccer career, recorded shutouts against Philadelphia Bible and Salve Regina. The Fords travel to Holy Family on Wed. and open Conference play Sat. at Western Maryland.
JOHNS HOPKINS extended its home winning streak to 24 with wins over York, Denison, New Paltz, King's and Salve Regina at Homewood Field. Freshman M Aerik Williams (Columbus, OH/Columbus Academy) has scored four goals in his first five collegiate matches. Sophomore M Paul Galli (Roslyn, NY/Herricks) and freshman Matt Doran (Stormville, NY/John Jay) each have a pair of goals. The Blue Jays, ranked #3 in the region, play host to Centennial foe Swarthmore on Saturday night.
MUHLENBERG won the 400th game in the program's history on Saturday, defeating Bethany, 3-1. It also gave the Mules their fifth straight Kwik Goal/TGI Friday's Classic title. Sophomore D Brad Kocher (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) was named the Classic's MVP, after spearheading the defensive effort and scoring the game-winning goal vs. Bethany. Freshman F Chris Rowley (Muhlenberg Twp., PA/Muhlenberg) scored his first two career goals in the win over New Paltz. In addition to its win over #9 ranked Bethany, Muhlenberg also has a victory over Cal Lutheran (3-1), which was ranked #7 in the country. The Mules, ranked second in the region, travel to Elizabethtown for a key regional game Wednesday and return home to take on Dickinson Saturday night.
SWARTHMORE won one of its opening six matches, defeating Alvernia, 2-0, in the opening round of the Swat Kick Classic. Senior D Scott Samels (Minnetonka, MN/Blake) and senior F John Kaltenstein (Danbury, CT/Danbury) each scored goals, while freshman GK Andrew Kramer (Gainesville, FL/Eastside) had six saves in recording his first career shutout. The Garnet travels to Millersville (Wed.) and Johns Hopkins (Sat.) this week.
URSINUS finished second at the Wesley Tournament last weekend, defeating Marymount, 2-1, in overtime but falling to the host Wolverines, 2-1, in the final. Senior M Mike Traud (Allentown, PA/William Allen) was named to the All-Tournament team after scoring goals in both matches. The Bears play host to Widener on Wed. before opening Centennial action at Franklin & Marshall Saturday.

WESTERN MARYLAND, which finished 3-10-2 a year ago, has already picked up a pair of wins, downing Susquehanna, 1-0, and Lancaster Bible, 6-1. To call the Green Terror young is an understatement, as WMC has a roster with nine upperclassmen and 15 freshmen. Western Maryland travels to Catholic on Wednesday and plays host to Haverford on Saturday.
