DeStasio Named Muhlenberg Coach
(August 23) - "Muhlenberg hired Marisa DeStasio, an assistant on the 2010 team, as its new head softball coach. DeStasio replaces Roni Rivera, who left earlier this month to become head coach at Iona College. Before coming to Muhlenberg, DeStasio spent the past three years as an Marisa DeStasio assistant at Lafayette College, helping the Leopards to a school-record 27 wins in 2008 and their first two appearances in the Patriot League championship game in 2008 and 2009."

Croneberger Named Ursinus Coach
(July 16) - "Jennifer Croneberger has been named as the new head softball coach at Ursinus College, athletic director Laura Moliken announced on Wednesday afternoon. Croneberger recently served as head coach of the Unionville High School softball team for four seasons. She took the team from a two win season in 2006 to a second-place finish in the division in 2008. She also developed a training program from the student-athletes for the off-season."

34 Named to Academic Honor Roll
(May 14) - Three-hundred thirty-one students, including 34 softball players, have been named to the spring Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the AHR, a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior; participate in at least 50 percent of the team contests; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. Thirty-eight students also received All-Centennial recognition in their sport while four were honored as Players of the Year, including Ursinus' Lauren Davis-Macedonia (pictured) and Muhlenberg's Ashley Brewer.

Devils Ousted in NCAA Softball
(May 14) - "The #7-seeded Dickinson College softball suffered its second loss in the 2010 NCAA Softball Regional Tournament on Friday. The Red Devils, making their first appearance in the NCAA Playoffs, dropped a 3-1 setback to #6-seed Polytechnic Institute of New York. Allison Jordan (Medford, N.J. / Shawnee) turned in another strong performance for the Red Devils, recording seven strikeouts, scattering six hits on the day."

Fourth-Seeded Red Devils Win Conference Championship
(May 2) - Dickinson won its first-ever Centennial Conference softball title, winning three straight games as the No. 4 seed. The Red Devils toppled top-seeded Ursinus, 1-0, in the opener on Saturday and blanked No. 3 seed Swarthmore by the same count in the afternoon. In Sunday's title win, Dickinson DH Kyrie Budnik drove in a pair of runs in the first on a two-out single. The Devils tacked on an insurance run on an Alesha Sisco sacrifice fly in the fifth. That was all Allison Jordan needed, as she scattered three hits, striking out six in the 3-1 victory.

All-Conference Team Announced
Brewer, Davis-Macedonia Win Honors
(April 29) - Muhlenberg junior 2B Ashley Brewer and Ursinus senior P Lauren Davis-Macedonia were named the Conference's Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively, as the 2010 All-Centennial softball team was announced today. Brewer is the third Mule to earn Player of the Year honors, while Davis-Macedonia is the second consecutive Bear hurler to win three straight Pitcher of the Year honors. Swarthmore senior Kathryn Riley became the sixth player in Conference history to earn first-team All-Centennial honors four times.

Weekly Release #8
(April 26) - Gettysburg OF Megan Lott and Ursinus P Lauren Davis-Macedonia have been named the Conference's Players and Pitcher of the Week. Lott hit .533 in a 3-1 week with with seven runs, two home runs, and five RBI. Davis-Macedonia appeared in five games, going 4-1 with a 0.41 ERA, striking out 54 and walking six. Also threw a no-hitter against Immaculata and had two one-hitters for the week.
