AROUND THE CONFERENCE - complete release

Johns Hopkins won its fifth straight Centennial title with wins over Ursinus, Franklin & Marshall and Haverford in the double-elimination championship tournament. It is the Blue Jays' 12th Conference crown.

Haverford SS Charlie Carluccio (W. Windsor, NJ / W. Windsor-Plainsboro North) became the first player in school history to earn first-team All-America honors. He set program career records for hits (191), runs (144), RBI (148) and assists (482). Teammate Louis DeRosa (San Francisco, CA / Lick Wilmerding) was named to the ABCA All-Region Gold Glove team. The Fords set a school record with 32 victories on the season.

Dickinson junior LHP Sean White (Summit, NJ / Salisbury School, CT) became the 11th Centennial pitcher to register 200 career strikeouts and is now second all-time at the school with 203.  His 80 punch-outs led the Centennial in 2011 – the first time a Red Devil hurler has led the CC in the category.

Johns Hopkins sophomore SS Kyle Neverman (Londonderry, NH / Londonderry) was named to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional All-Tournament team after hitting .429 with two runs and two RBI.

Washington College SS Ryan Normoyle (Mt. Laurel, NJ / Lenape) is the program's career leader in doubles (38) and total bases (234) as a junior. He is the second Shoreman to lead the Conference in hitting (.394), following in the footsteps of Jim Barossi '05.

Ursinus junior OF Ben Gresh (Pottstown, PA / Pottsgrove) is the first Bear to lead the Conference in slugging percentage (.688), hitting .375 on the season with eight round-trippers.
