Johns Hopkins' Armand Jenifer Named AFCA First-Team All-American
Johns Hopkins junior offensive tackle Armand Jenifer added yet another honor to his growing list of achievements today as he has been named to the 2012 American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-America First Team.

All-Conference Football Team; Johns Hopkins' Rigaud, Maciow Take Player of Year Honors
Johns Hopkins senior RB Jonathan Rigaud and senior LB Taylor Maciow were recognized as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, as the 2012 All-Centennial football team was announced on Tuesday. Moravian WR Jimmy McCarthy was named Rookie of the Year.

Wodicka, Jenifer Named to Preseason Football All-America Team
Johns Hopkins rising juniors Dan Wodicka and Armand Jenifer have been selected as Preseason Second Team All-Americans in Lindy's 2012 College Football Preview. Johns Hopkins was one of just six schools with two or more players named to the team.

Mike Hoyt Named Head Football Coach at McDaniel
Mike Hoyt has been named McDaniel College's head football coach, announced by Director of Athletics Paul Moyer on Monday. Hoyt, the 24th head coach in the storied 117-year history of Green Terror football, takes over after spending the last eight seasons as the defensive coordinator at Albright.

Visiting St. John Fisher ate more than 14 minutes off the clock in the first quarter and never let host Johns Hopkins get comfortable as the Cardinals topped the Blue Jays, 23-12, in the first round of the NCAA Division III football playoffs at Homewood Field Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's Football Recap
Johns Hopkins held off a pesky Franklin & Marshall squad to remain unbeaten with a 28-23 victory Saturday afternoon in Baltimore. Dickinson blocked a potential game-tying PAT with 46 seconds left to edge Gettysburg, 21-20. Muhlenberg blocked a potential game-tying field goal as time expired to edge Ursinus, 24-21.

Hopkins Takes Conference AQ
Johns Hopkins won the Centennial's automatic berth to the NCAA tournament with a 37-9 victory over Ursinus. The Blue Jays clinched at least a share of the Conference title and can win the crown outright next week vs. F&M.

F&M-Johns Hopkins Football Start Time Change
The start time for the November 5 football game between Franklin & Marshall and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore has been moved up one hour to noon EDT. The change was necessitated by the potential for Johns Hopkins to serve as host for the Conference men's and/or women's soccer championship final fours on Nov. 4-5-6.

Dapp Named AD at Moravian; Pukszyn Named Head Football Coach
Moravian College President Christopher M. Thomforde announced today that Scot Dapp, the Greyhounds’ head football coach for the past 24 seasons, has been named the school’s director of athletics and recreation effective immediately; and that Jeff Pukszyn ’97 has been promoted to head football coach.
