CENTENNIAL NOTEBOOK

No. 4 Franklin & Marshall is off to its best start in program history with a record of 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Centennial Conference. Its No. 4 ranking in last week's Kookaburra/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll marks the first top-10 ranking for the Diplomats since Sept. 13, 2005, when they held the No. 10 spot.

Gettysburg defender Megan Bernstein (Sr, Paoli, Pa. / Conestoga) made three defensive saves to break the Gettysburg career record in a 4-1 loss at Lebanon Valley on Thursday. She now has 13 career defensive saves, one more than Michelle Marsnick '08 posted in her 2004-2007 seasons.

Swarthmore's 3-2 win over Johns Hopkins was its third consecutive win of the season and its first over the Blue Jays since the 2006 season.

Washington College has now won four consecutive road games for the first time since the 2001 season.
