Wednesday's Field Hockey Recap

No. 2 Ursinus 6, Swarthmore 3

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - No. 2 ranked Ursinus found itself in a dogfight in the first half with Swarthmore on Wednesday at Clothier Fields. The Bears led the Garnet 2-1 after the first half, but, scored four straight goals as the Bears defeated Swarthmore 6-3.

Gettysburg 5, Dickinson 2

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Sophomore Liz Baron scored two of Gettysburg's first three goals and the Bullets used a fast start to knock off Dickinson 5-2 in Centennial Conference field hockey action at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium Wednesday afternoon. Gettysburg scored the first five goals of the game while earning the team's first conference victory of the season.

Washington College 15, Bryn Mawr 1

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Washington College field hockey team tied the Centennial Conference record and broke the school record for goals in a game with a 15-1 conference win over host Bryn Mawr on Wednesday. The Shorewomen matched the conference record of 15 goals set by Ursinus in 2009 and matched by Swarthmore in 2010. Emily Trees led Washington College with three goals and two assists.
