Offensive Player of the Week
Katerina DeLuca, So, F, Ursinus
Thornton, Pa./Westtown School
DeLuca scored two goals and assisted on another for a career-high three points in Friday's season-opening triumph over Rowan. DeLuca found the back of the cage on two of her three shots in her first career start.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sara Rilatt, Fr, D, Bryn Mawr
York, Pa./Central York
Sara was a crucial part of both of Bryn Mawr's victories last week. As a central defender, she was largely responsible for the Owls posting back-to-back shutout victories, a feat that the Owls haven't pulled off since 1995. In the Owls' first game against Cedar Crest, Rilatt helped on both sides of the ball, helping the team keep a clean sheet, but also contributing to the team's attacking efforts with five shots, mainly as a part of Bryn Mawr's penalty corner unit. Rilatt was perhaps even more impressive in the second game of the week for Bryn Mawr. Not only did she help the team post a shutout, but she and the rest of the Owls kept Ramapo from even registering a single shot in the game, a feat Bryn Mawr hasn't pulled off since 2006.
