Weekend Men's Hoops Recap
Muhlenberg 83, Drew 78
After spending the week studying for finals, the Muhlenberg men's basketball team only had two practices to prepare for Drew's cutting Princeton-style offense. The Rangers used that advantage to grab the lead at the half. But the Mules were able to adjust and made the grade in the second half. Led by 30 points from senior Spencer Liddic, Muhlenberg grabbed an early holiday present with an 83-78 win in their final game of 2011. The win moves the Mules to 8-2, which is their best start since the 1968-69 season.
Elizabethtown 52, McDaniel 50
Phil Wenger hit a driving layup with 5.7 seconds left to give Elizabethtown a 52-50 non-conference men's basketball victory over McDaniel on Sunday. Cullen Murray-Kemp (Trappe, Md./Easton) led the Green Terror (3-6) with 10 points while Evan Pupelis (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) chipped in nine. Wenger paced the Blue Jays (3-7) with 14 points while Andrew Mantz added 13.

Visiting Wesley College scored 44 points in the paint and 19 second-chance points en route to an 86-72 non-conference men's basketball win over host Washington College tonight inside Cain Athletic Center.
