Johns Hopkins senior Kyle Doran has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week it was announced today. This is his first career weekly honor from the conference and the first this season for the Blue Jays (15-4, 9-3 CC).
Doran led Hopkins to wins over McDaniel (64-51) and at Ursinus (75-56) last week as the Blue Jays moved into a tie for third in the conference standings. He averaged 21 points and nine rebounds while shooting 58.3 percent from the field for the week. Doran scored a game-high 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting and grabbed five rebounds and two steals against McDaniel on Wednesday. He followed that with a career game on Saturday, scoring 25 points (8-of-13 FG) and pulling 13 rebounds in the win at Ursinus.
