Diplomats Are Preseason Favorite
Defending champion Franklin & Marshall has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to repeat as Conference men's basketball champion in a poll of coaches and SIDs. The Diplomats, who were one game shy of a repeat trip to the Final Four last season, garnered 15 of a possible 18 first-place votes (teams not permitted to vote for themselves) for 159 points. Gettysburg, who lost in the Centennial final to F&M last winter, picked up three firsts and 142 points, while Ursinus was third with two firsts and 135 points.

Diplomats Picked No. 2 in Preseason
"Franklin & Marshall's men's basketball team is ranked second in The Sporting News College Basketball Magazine Preseason Top 10. F&M senior forward James McNally was named to the preseason All-America First Team. Junior guard Georgio Milligan was given All-America honorable mention by the organization. The Diplomats return four starters from last year's 26-5 team that advanced to the Elite Eight, the ninth time F&M has made it to the round of eight."

McNally Named Second-Team All-America
Franklin & Marshall junior F James McNally was named second-team All-America by the NABC as the organization announced its All-America teams today. He is the 13th player in Centennial Conference history to earn All-America honors from the NABC and eighth from F&M. McNally led the Diplomats in scoring (18.4) and rebounding (8.5) this season on his way to Conference Player of the Year honors and first-team All-Region recognition from the NABC and D3hoops.com. Gettysburg's Andrew Powers was named second-team All-Region by the NABC and D3hoops, while Ursinus' Remy Cousart was a second-team All-NABC and third-team All-D3hoops regional selection. Muhlenberg's Spencer Liddic was named to the D3hoops regional third team.

All-Conference Men's Basketball Team
Franklin & Marshall junior forward James McNally was named the Conference's Player of the Year as the 2010 All-Centennial men's basketball team was announced today. McNally becomes the fourth Diplomat player to earn the award and first since Alex Kraft in 2001. He is joined on the first team by teammate Georgio Milligan, Gettysburg's Andrew Powers, Muhlenberg's Spencer Liddic, Ursinus' Remy Cousart and Washington's Andrew Chambers.
