Diplomats Win Own Invitational

Kevin Goserud and Cameron Warner each posted top-five finishes to lift host Frankiln & Marshall to the team title at the F&M Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club on Monday. The Diplomats Blue squad compiled 305 points to edge out second-place Moravian (306) and win for the third time this fall. Albright and Messiah tied for third with team scores of 313, while the F&M White squad took fifth at 316. Goserud secured fourth place with a round of two-over 73 to lead the way for F&M Blue, while Warner finished in a three-way tie for fifth with a score of 75.

Senior George Whitelaw (pictured) shot a career-low, one-over-par 72, tying for second among 89 competitors to lead the Gettysburg College men's golf team at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on Monday at Bent Creek Country Club. Whitelaw took three strokes off his previous collegiate-best set last year at the Glenmaura Invitational as the Bullets shot a season-best 323 to place seventh out of 18 teams.

Freshman Andrew Park shot a team-low 75 on Monday afternoon to lead the Swarthmore golf team to a ninth place finish at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational from Bent Creek Country Club.  The Garnet shot a 329 on the day, slotting them ninth in the field of 17 teams. Continuing to impress during his rookie campaign, Park's 75 is his third straight round in the 70s for the Garnet.
