Men's Golf Co-Athletes of the Week 10/3/17
Dan Altieri, Jr, Swarthmore
Swarthmore junior Dan Altieri earned medalist honors at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic with a 148 (+4). He finished at the top of a field of 88 golfers. He carded two birdies in round one and five birdies in round two. Swarthmore finished fifth overall.
Daniel Rieger, Fr, Gettysburg
Rieger won the Moravian Fall Invitatational, shooting a 2-over 73 to beat out 58 competitors while helping the Bullets place third among 12 teams with a 324.

Fanwood, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep
Harcourt placed third among 83 competitors at the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational, carding a 1-under 71 to help the Bullets shoot a 308 to finish third among 17 teams. He also posted a 75 at the Elizabethtown Invitational to tie for 11th in a field of 138. As a team, Gettysburg shot a 310 and came in fourth among 28 schools.
MEN’S GOLF ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 9/19/17
Shawn MacBurnie, Jr, McDaniel
Beverly, Mass./St. Mary’s Lynn
MacBurnie won the Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational, posting a one-over par 143 over the 36-hole tournament. He carded a round of 71 on Saturday before registering a score of 72 on Sunday to lead the Green Terror to the team title. He won the individual title by two shots and the team won by 17 strokes.
MEN’S GOLF ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 9/12/17
Michael Brown, Fr, Swarthmore College
Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow
Freshman Michael Brown made a big splash in his first ever collegiate competition, winning the Swarthmore-Neumann Invitational with a 68 (-3) at Rock Manor Golf Club on Sunday. Brown finished first in a field of 82 competitors and was just one stroke off the Swarthmore program record. He started off his first hole, the 563-yard 10th hole, with a birdie, and then recorded four birdies after the turn.
