Top Seeds Advance to Men's Lacrosse Title Game

Washington College 8, McDaniel 4
Eighteenth-ranked host Washington College scored four goals in the fourth quarter to pull away from visiting McDaniel en route to an 8-4 win over the Green Terror in a Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Semifinal game this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen improved to 11-4 with the win and advanced to their first Centennial Conference Championship game since 2008. Washington will face 13th-ranked Dickinson in Sunday's championship game at 1:00 p.m. Matt Lewis scored a career-high four goals for the Shoremen, while DJ Rickels had a pair for McDaniel. Senior goalie Peter Stewart made nine saves in the win for Washington, while Brad Motley made 16 saves and scooped up a game-high seven ground balls in the loss for the Green Terror.

Matt Cherry, Dickinson

Dickinson 10, Gettysburg 5
The #13-ranked Dickinson College men's lacrosse team advanced to defend its title at the 2012 Centennial Conference Championship, posting a 10-5, semifinal win over #20-ranked Gettysburg on Friday. Brian Cannon scored twice and tallied a pair of assists while Christian Beitel netted a hat-trick to pace the Devil attack. Matt Cherry finished with four assists, handing out helpers on the Devils' first three goals of the game. Greg Hanley finished with 10 saves, controlling four ground balls for the Red Devils. Martin Manilla led the Bullets with a hat trick.
