Washington College senior men's soccer player Tim Marcin was named the recipient of the Sophie Kerr Literary Prize - the nation's largest undergraduate literary prize which is valued this year at $61,192.

Stephen Corrieri has been named McDaniel College's head men's soccer coach, announced by Director of Athletics Paul Moyer on Wednesday. Corrieri has spent the last six seasons as an assistant coach at York (Pa.).

Haverford and Swarthmore used different routes to advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament on Saturday. The Fords needed PKs to get past Wesleyan, while Swarthmore used three second-half goals to subdue Albertus Magnus.

Dickinson christened its brand-new Miller Field with a win over Johns Hopkins, while Franklin & Marshall blanked Muhlenberg. Swarthmore kept rolling with a win vs. Ursinus, while Washington College defeated McDaniel for the first time since 2003.
