Season Previews
Max Kaye, Swarthmore
Franklin & Marshall
The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team is looking to build off of the success it achieved last season. In 2011 the Diplomats finished 12-6, played in their first-ever Centennial Conference (CC) title match, and earned a No. 12 regional ranking. F&M is hoping to turn the positive experience from a season ago into an even greater one in 2012.
Haverford
The Haverford College men's tennis team returns all but one player from last year's squad that went 9-10 and made it to the Centennial Conference semifinals. Head coach Sean Sloane's returning lineup, brimming with talent and experience, looks to take the next step this season.
Swarthmore
After being upset in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs in 2011, the Swarthmore men's tennis team looks to rebound in 2012 and reassert its dominance in Conference competition. The Garnet, which earned an impressive 8-1 record in Conference play last season, returns all but one member of last year's team and appears poised to avenge last season's early exit.
Washington College
The 2012 Washington College men's tennis season marks the first under new head coach David Donn and the first in four years without new assistant coach Adam Cranford '11 at the top of the singles line-up. Cranford, who achieved All-America status and was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year last spring, was one of just two seniors on last year's team, which advanced to the Centennial Conference Tournament.
