COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Haverford College men's distance medley relay (DMR) team ran to a third-place finish Friday evening to earn All-America honors at the 2011 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship held at Capital University.
The team of Eric Arnold, Andrew Golato, Tim Schoch and Ivo Milic-Strkalj clocked in at 10 minutes, 2.18 seconds, behind the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (10:01.12). The Fords earned the spot on the podium by finishing just ahead of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse quartet that came in at 10:02.44. Allegheny College won the event with a time of 10:00.12. Nine of the 10 teams finished ahead of the Capital Center track record time of 10:18.20.
Clay Reynolds of Gettysburg finished sixth in the mile, covering the distance in 4:17.81. Dickinson's Kent Pecora and Haverford's Anders Hulleberg placed ninth and 12th, respectively, in the 5000.
