Baker opened the season on a strong note, going 6-of-7 from the plate with a .857 batting average, 1.857 slugging average, seven RBIs, four runs, two homers, and a double in the non-conference split at Mary Washington. The junior catcher went 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs, four RBI, a home run, and a double in the opener to help the Bullets secure the 17-10 victory. Baker needs 18 more hits to join the 100 hit club.

In her collegiate debut, Byrnes tossed a two-hit shutout in a 9-0 five-inning win over Wesley on February 22. She struck out five and walked two en route to a complete game. Byrnes tossed a pair of 1-2-3 innings in the win.
