The most successful season in the history of Washington College Softball came to a close on Saturday afternoon as the Shorewomen fell to St. John Fisher, 4-1, in a NCAA regional elimination contest.

DeStasio Named Muhlenberg Coach
"Muhlenberg hired Marisa DeStasio, an assistant on the 2010 team, as its new head softball coach. DeStasio replaces Roni Rivera, who left earlier this month to become head coach at Iona College. Before coming to Muhlenberg, DeStasio spent the past three years as an Marisa DeStasio assistant at Lafayette College, helping the Leopards to a school-record 27 wins in 2008 and their first two appearances in the Patriot League championship game in 2008 and 2009."

Croneberger Named Ursinus Coach
"Jennifer Croneberger has been named as the new head softball coach at Ursinus College, athletic director Laura Moliken announced on Wednesday afternoon. Croneberger recently served as head coach of the Unionville High School softball team for four seasons. She took the team from a two win season in 2006 to a second-place finish in the division in 2008. She also developed a training program from the student-athletes for the off-season."
