Bullets Capture Gettysburg Invitational

Senior Caroline Nathan claimed medalist honors with an 86, leading the Gettysburg College women's golf team to a first-place finish among three teams at the Gettysburg Invitational Sunday at the Bridges Golf Club on Sunday.

Competing for the second time this season, the Bullets earned their first team score of the year, finishing with a 351. Dickinson College finished second with a 386 while the Navy club team was third at 387.

Nathan finished in a tie for first with Navy's Catherine Reed, but was awarded the title by virtue of matching scoreboards, winning on the third handicap.

Sophomore Kara McNulty and Dickinson's Anne Marshall were just one stroke behind Nathan, tying for third out of 14 golfers with 87s. Senior Shelby Glass and junior Molly Nulty tied for fifth with an 89 to wrap up the team scoring while freshman Lauren Sobotka also competed, tying for seventh while shooting a 90.
