Bullets Win at Alvernia

Powered by a 1-2-3 sweep, the Gettysburg College women’s golf team won its second consecutive title, capturing the five-team Alvernia University Fall Invitational Thursday at the Reading Country Club.

The Bullets shot a 348 – five strokes off the school record – to place 24 strokes in front of runner-up Alvernia.

Sophomore Kara McNulty won her fourth career medalist honor, shooting an 83 to beat out 22 other golfers. Senior Caroline Nathan was second with an 85 while freshman Lauren Sobotka took third with an 86. Senior Shelby Glass rounded out the team scoring with a 94.
