Kara McNulty, Gettysburg
Around the Conference
It's Championship Weekend and the best golfers in the Centennial converge on Abbottstown, Pa. and the Hanover CC for the 12th annual Conference tournament. It looks to be a two-team race for the title between Gettysburg (351.67) and McDaniel (364.18) – the two teams that have combined to win the last four championships. The Green Terror has a Centennial-best six titles to its credit, while the Bullets and Muhlenberg have two championships apiece.
McDaniel junior Morgan Koopman (Finksburg, MD / McDonogh School) and Gettysburg senior Caroline Nathan (Bethesda, MD / Walt Whitman) have the opportunity to join an elite club. The two-time first-team All-Centennial selections can join six other golfers who have earned first-team honors three times by finishing in the top five at the championship. Nathan captured the 2009 crown as a freshman and was tied for second a year ago. Koopman was fourth as a rookie in 2010 and was runner-up last spring.
Two other Bullets – sophomore Kara McNulty (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) and junior Molly Nulty (Cortland, NY / Homer) – also return as first-team All-CC picks from a year ago.
Tournament Facts
The last four Centennial tournaments have been decided by 10 shots or less, including last season which saw Gettysburg hold off McDaniel by two shots in a championship shortened to 18 holes.

The smallest margin of victory in tournament history came in 2010 as McDaniel defeated Franklin & Marshall by a single stroke, 723-724.
