Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg are set to continue one of the best rivalries in Division III women's lacrosse as the top two seeds in the Centennial Conference posted semifinal victories on Saturday afternoon in Lancaster, Pa. Top-seeded F&M downed fifth-seeded Haverford 16-10, while second-seeded Gettysburg defeated third-seeded Washington College 17-8.
Sunday's championship showdown will mark the seventh straight season and 16th time in the last 17 years that F&M and Gettysburg will clash for the conference crown. Gettysburg downed F&M 15-7 in last year's championship game at Shadek Stadium.
In Saturday's first semifinal, Franklin & Marshall's No. 4 women's lacrosse team delivered a 16-10 victory over Haverford in the Centennial Conference (CC) Semifinals on Saturday afternoon in Lancaster to advance to the program's seventh-straight Championship game. For the full recap, click here.
In the second semifinal, four different players recorded hat tricks as second-ranked Gettysburg advanced to the title game of Centennial Conference Championship for the 19th consecutive season with a 17-8 victory over No. 24 Washington College at Shadek Stadium on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College Saturday afternoon.
