Wrestling Mid-Week Recap

Gettysburg 36, Scranton 12
The Gettysburg College wrestling team won its home debut with some dominant displays on the mat in a 36-12 victory over the University of Scranton inside Bream Gym Wednesday night.  Gettysburg (1-0) posted five pins and a pair of decisions en route to the victory. The Bullets started out strong as senior Abe Evans took care of business quickly, taking Kyle McCall down just seconds into the match and ending it in less than two minutes with a pin. 

 

Lycoming 22, McDaniel 17
Down 11-7 after five matches, the Lycoming College wrestling team turned to a trio of first-year starters to take the lead before senior Russ Korbul notched a pin to seal a 22-17 win over McDaniel for the 20th straight win over the Green Terror on Wednesday night at Lamade Gymnasium. 

 

Stevens 26, College of New Jersey 16
In a top-30 battle between the Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling squad and No. 14 The College of New Jersey, No. 17 Stevens, came away with a 26-16 victory on the road.
