Leon (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) made the most

(4-12) dropped both of its outings to Division II schools. The

falling to Shippensburg University 42-6 in the consolation bracket.
Last year’s Centennial Conference runner-up at 174 pounds,

Mount St. Vincent Invitational
It was a successful day of competition for the New York University wrestling team at the
College of Mount Saint Vincent Invitational on Saturday, January
19, in Riverdale, NY. There was no team scoring, but NYU was able
to continue the momentum of its current seven-match win streak as
the grapplers finished with one individual champion and three
runner-up finishes. DJ Albonico (141) had a superb day on the mats
as he bested his opponents in every bout en route to the individual
title and a 4-0 record. He tallied his fourth fall of the season,
as well.
The Ursinus College wrestling team competed in its final regular season tournament at the College of Saint Vincent Invitational outside of New York City. There was no team score. Sophomore Christopher Donaldson (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum School) continued his strong start as he won the 125 pound bracket with a pin and two major decisions. Freshman Kevin Hoogheem (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) finished second at 125.
With none of his teammates or coaches on the Muhlenberg wrestling team within 100 pounds of him, senior Chris Galletta has a bit of a problem when he learns new moves: He doesn’t have anyone his size to practice them on. “The first time I get to try these moves live is in a match,” he said. “I have no idea how my opponent is going to react. I’m just like, ‘I hope this works!’” It certainly worked at the Mount St. Vincent Invitational, where Galletta swept through four matches to win the heavyweight bracket. It was the first tournament title for a Mule this season.
