Baik, Hogan Reach ITA Singles Semis

Johns Hopkins has two of the final four players remaining in the championship singles draw at the USTA-ITA Southeast Regional tournament in Fredericksburg, Va.

Hailey Hogan swept her four opponents in straight sets in her march to the semifinals where she'll meet No. 2 seed Courtney Chin of Carnegie Mellon. Chin ousted JHU's Shannon Herndon in the quarters.

Freshman Elaine Baik also did not drop a set in downing her four opponents. She upset No. 4 seed Lauren Lukas of Washington and Lee in the round of 16 and will meet Sonja Meighan of W&L in the semifinals.

Hogan and Herndon advanced to the doubles final opposite CMU's Chin and Laura Chen. The pair knocked out teammates Brooke Pottish and Stephanie Rettig in the quarters after that duo ousted the No. 2 seeded team from Washington and Lee.
