The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced Monday the participants in the 2012 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships.

For each woman's individual event including the pentathlon, the top 15 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each men's individual event including the heptathlon, the top 13 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 10 declared relay teams — one per school — were accepted into the competition.

The championships will be held March 9-10 at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Dickinson College senior Catherine Campbell (Carlisle, Pa./Trinity) erased 20 seconds off her personal-best time in the 5000 meters. She clocked a time of 17:15.75 at the Columbia University Last Chance Meet, hosted at the historic Armory in New York City. Her time ranks her ninth in the nation, setting the school record previously held by Cait Bradley '07 at 17:23.32.

Campbell's performance was enough to earn her a spot at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Sheena Crawley is making her second appearance in the National Indoor Track and Field Championship this weekend. The junior will travel to Grinnell College in Iowa to compete in the mile.

Her 4:54.66 mile time is the fifth fastest in the nation. Crawley competed a year ago in the same event and finished ninth with a time of 5:03.91. She is set to run in the preliminaries on Friday evening at 5:15 pm.

Sophomore Holly Clarke and freshman Hannah Eckstein will represent the Johns Hopkins women's track & field team on the national stage at the NCAA Indoor championship meet next Saturday. The duo will be competing in the 5,000-meter run.

Eckstein's qualifying time of 17:03.18 was set the 2012 Boston Valentine Invitational on February 10. The freshman standout is ranked third in the nation.

Clarke ran in the ECAC championship meet last Saturday in an attempt to better her personal best this season and qualify for the national meet. After shaving more than 30 seconds off of her personal best, Clarke finished first in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:18.35 and is officially ranked 12th in the nation.
