Johns Hopkins junior Maya Hammonds set a Centennial record in the indoor long jump in winning the pentathlon at the Navy Sweetheart Multi-Mix Madness meet on Thursday.

Hammonds leaped 5.76m or 18-10 3/4 to break the old mark of 5.59m (18-4 1/4) established by McDaniel's Kerry Wilson in 1998.

Her leap is the third-longest in Division III this season, while her 3,264 points in the pentathlon is ninth-best.
