Leventry Promoted to Head Coach at Washington College
Washington College Director of Athletics Dr. Bryan Matthews has announced the promotion of Jamie Leventry to head volleyball coach, effective July 1st. Leventry has served as the school's associate head volleyball coach since last summer and will take over the reins of the program from Lacey Lister.

Bernier Named Gettysburg Head Volleyball Coach
The New Year will bring another official change in the Gettysburg College athletic department as Leah Bernier will take over as the head coach of the Bullets’ volleyball program according to Director of Athletics David Wright.

F&M Falls in Five at NCAAs
Franklin & Marshall nearly battled back from a 2-1 deficit, but Randolph-Macon hung on to defeat the Diplomats, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 15-13, in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Candice Tussing led the Dips with 17 kills, while Sydney Seydel added 12. F&M closes the year at 22-7.

All-CC Volleyball Team; Cantwell Named Player of Year
Franklin & Marshall, who won its first Centennial title in 10 years, placed two players on the first team as the 2010 All-Conference volleyball team was released today. The Diplomats were represented by senior setter Pam Horner and sophomore hitter Sydney Seydel. Haverford senior hitter Kelsey Cantwell was a unanimous first-team selection and was named Player of the Year.

F&M Wins First Title Since 2000
Pam Horner had 42 assists and 15 digs to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 3-0 victory over Swarthmore in the Centennial Conference (CC) Volleyball Championship Sunday. The victory gives the Diplomats the conference's automatic qualifier bid in the NCAA Tournament. The title is the fifth in F&M history. The last one was won in 2000, head coach Mary Kate Boland's senior season.

The biggest weekend of the fall season is upon us - Championship Weekend. To the winner goes the spoils ... the championship trophy and a trip to the NCAA championship tournament. To the losers, it's wait-and-see if an at-large invitation is forthcoming to the NCAAs. It's high drama on the Centennial's biggest stage!

Swarthmore Sweeps Out Bullets
Prior to the 2010 season, the Swarthmore volleyball team (18-10, 8-3 CC) hadn't defeated Gettysburg (16-14, 7-4 CC) in the 17-year existence of the Centennial Conference. With a 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-21) victory Wednesday night from Tarble Pavilion in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs, the Garnet would make it two victories over the Bullets in two weeks, as junior Genny Pezzola would led the way with 16 kills and 14 digs.

Diplomats Sweep "Bye" Swarthmore
"Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team continued its winning streak with a 3-0 defeat over Swarthmore in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats have won four straight without dropping a set. The win secures the third seed in the CC playoffs for the Diplomats (20-6, 8-2 CC) with a rematch against Johns Hopkins on Saturday."

Fords Secure Top Spot for Tourney
"The Haverford College volleyball team's 3-1 Centennial Conference victory Wednesday night over host Swarthmore College clinched the regular season title, and assures the Fords they will have the chance to try for their fifth consecutive league tournament crown on their home court next weekend."

Volleyball Weekly Release #8
Haverford outside hitter Kelsey Cantwell has been named the Conference's Player of the Week for the week ending October 24. Cantwell helped the Fords to a 3-0 week with 40 kills, nine aces and 27 digs. She had match-highs with 15 kills in wins vs. Dickinson and Bryn Mawr.

"The Swarthmore volleyball team (17-8, 7-1 CC) celebrated senior day in style with the a playoff clinching victory in straight sets over the Gettysburg Bullets (14-13, 5-3 CC) before a record on Saturday afternoon in Tarble Pavilion. The 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-16) victory marks Swat's first over the Bullets in program history."
