Fall All-Sportsmanship Team
The Centennial Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee established the All-Sportsmanship team in 2007. Each team elected one member from their team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-Centennial sportsmanship team.

Dickinson's Ludman Named Mideast Region Runner of the Year
Dickinson College sophomore Taylor Ludman was named the NCAA Mideast Region Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year. The award is presented by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Johns Hopkins Grabs 14th Place at NCAA Championships
The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team placed two runners inside the top 20 and went on to finish in 14th place at the 2011 NCAA Championship; Dickinson finished at the No. 25 spot while Haverford came in 28th. Sheena Crawley from Franklin & Marshall was top Centennial Conference runner.

Three Go Dancing at NCAAs
The Centennial Conference will be well-represented on Saturday at noon at the NCAA women's cross country championship in Wisconsin. Johns Hopkins, Dickinson and Haverford will have full teams in contention for the title, while Franklin & Marshall and Muhlenberg send individuals.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recognized 20 Centennial Conference athletes that earned All-Region awards for cross country in Division III following last weekend’s NCAA Regional Championships.

Johns Hopkins captured the 2011 NCAA Mideast Regional title Saturday while Dickinson and Haverford finished second and fourth, respectively, pushing all three teams to next weekend's NCAA Division III Championship.

All-Conference Women's Cross Country Team
Dickinson's Taylor Ludman won the Centennial Conference women's cross country gold medal back on October 29, also earning her the 2011 CC Runner of the Year honors. Johns Hopkins head coach Bobby Van Allen was recently selected as the 2011 Women's Coach of the Year by his peers.

Johns Hopkins' Furlong, Van Allen Receive Regional Recognition
Johns Hopkins junior Cecilia Furlong and head coach Bobby Van Allen were honored by the USTFCCCA as the Mideast Region Athlete and Coach of the Year, respectively, on Tuesday afternoon. Furlong is the first Hopkins runner in program history to receive athlete of the year honors, while Van Allen wins his second coach of the year award, having also received the accolade in 2008.

The Centennial Conference received more good news with more representation for the 2010 NCAA cross country championships. Muhlenberg's Bobby Torphy, F&M's Sheena Crawley and the Haverford women's team all garnered at-large berths to the national meet on Saturday in Waverly, Iowa.

Cross Country Championship Preview
The 18th annual Centennial Conference Cross Country championships return to the Free State for the first time since 2005 as Johns Hopkins serves as the host of the 2010 event. Since the inception of the Centennial in 1993, the Haverford men and the Dickinson women have been the dominant programs. The Fords have won 15 Conference titles, while the Red Devils have captured 10 championships, including eight during the last decade.

Muhlenberg freshman Nicole Cronin was named the Conference's Runner of the Week for the week ending October 17. Cronin was the top Division III finisher, coming in eighth overall, at Lafayette's Leopard Invitational. She was beaten only by five runners from Division I and two from Division II. Her time of 22:22.9 was the best by a Mule on a 6K course since 2005.

Saarel Takes 3rd at Seven Sisters
"Freshman Emma Saarel finished in third place with a time of 18:51 while junior Hannah Rose earned 10th place with a time of 19:14, as the Swarthmore College women's cross country team finished in third place at the 29th Annual Seven Sisters Race under blustery conditions from Vassar College on Saturday morning."
