  • Warren Earns All-America Status
    (May 29) - "Three members of the Johns Hopkins women's tennis team concluded the season at the 2010 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship Friday in Fredericksburg, VA. Senior Anita Bhamidipati competed in the doubles competition with sophomore Carolyn Warren. Warren also competed in the singles championship, along with freshman Nandita Krishnan. Warren won her first round match to earn ITA All-America honors for the first time in her career and become the first player in program history to earn All-America honors in singles

    Fifth-Ranked Denison Ends Season for Blue Jays
    (May 15) - "The 15th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team came just a few games shy of its first-ever trip the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday, suffering a tough 5-2 loss to fifth-ranked Denison. The team portion of the Blue Jays' season comes to an end at 17-9 as Hopkins tied its single-season wins record. The Big Red improve to 18-4 and advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the sixth time in program history. Denison will face either Emory or Washington & Lee in the next round."

    22 Named to Academic Honor Roll
    (May 14) - Three-hundred thirty-one students, including 22 tennis players, have been named to the spring Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the AHR, a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior; participate in at least 50 percent of the team contests; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. Thirty-eight students also received All-Centennial recognition in their sport while four were honored as Players of the Year, including Swarthmore's Rachel Wallwork.     Hopkins Wins Fourth Straight Title
    (May 2) - "The Johns Hopkins women's tennis team blanked visiting Swarthmore, 5-0, in the title match of the 2010 Centennial Conference Championship to win its fourth straight title. The four straight titles match Franklin & Marshall, which won a record four straight Centennial titles from 1997-2000. The Blue Jays four titles are also just one shy of tying the conference record five titles held by both F&M and Swarthmore. Hopkins improves to 15-8 on the season, while Swarthmore ends its campaign at 12-5."

    All-Conference Team Announced
    Wallwork Named Player of the Year

    (April 30) - Swarthmore senior Rachel Wallwork was named Player of the Year for the third consecutive season as the 2010 All-Centennial Women's Tennis team was announced today. She is the fourth player to receive multiple POY awards and is the 10th player to earn first-team All-Centennial honors three times.

    (April 27) - Dickinson senior Alex Bybel has been named the Conference's Player of the Week. Bybel led the Red Devils to a 2-0 week, securing a Centennial Conference playoff bid with wins over Franklin & Marshall and Washington.
